Wow!! This is my first update since I started the regime on Sept 4. In 3 days of working out and eating (2 days workout, one off), I've gained 5.2 lb! This is much faster than I thought…even if some IS water weight, thats still huge gains. I was planning on 5lbs/30 days!

In other news, I've been increasing my weight on nearly every exercise. The first go round of each exercise, I was deathly sore for about 3 days. In the second go round, Im sore for about 1 day. The fact that Im upping my weight each time should keep me from plateauing. Even if I do, Ive got the variation exercises and changing the # of reps and the amount of weight to rely on.

One cool thing I've noticed is that Ill do a really tough weight that will be difficult to complete buyt on my last rep or so when Im struggling and don't think I can do it, some trigger in my body turns on and pushes out that last rep and sometimes one more. I find it happens a lot when safety is a factor. By that I mean if I'm doing the bench press or dumbbell flyes or something where I could potentially really hurt myself if I don't complete the rep, then I et this burst of adrenaline that just gives me the greatest pump.

So in terms of diet, Ive been consciously eating a lot. Not just when Im hungry but even more. Its a weird sensation to eat things you don't necessarily crave or when your full, but its all helping to put on this weight. I have one 50g proton shake after my workouts and a 25g during the day (sometimes breakfast). I'm loving everything I eat. A trip to the grocery store usually takes about 20 minutes and I keep everything I need in the basket. No cart needed. Most bills even out around $40-$50. I think that the amount of milk Im drinking really helps with everything. Its insanely healthy for you, got great protein content, and can be used in just about everything! All of my protein shakes are milk based. I go through roughly a litre a day or a little more.

The 5.2lbs that Ive gained seems to be going partly to my chest and a bit in the biceps. So far, my stomach is still pretty flat and I can see ab definition. Its totally great to SEE these results! When I stepped onto that scale, I think I stepped off and on agin about 4 times before I realized that I wasn't fucking up the scale.

Im taking a multivitamin twice a day. but other than that and the whey proton powder, no supplements! All natural! I couldn't live with a body that was produced by steroids. I want to see results that are MINE. NOT drugs. That's just my take on the guys that are popping pills, mixing powders, slamming gainer, etc.
